The Hon. President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development delivered the ‘Budget Speech (2026)’ at 1.30 p.m.
Announcement by the Speaker
That all amendments to be moved during the Committee Stage in respect of the Appropriation Bill 2026 should be handed over to the Secretary-General of Parliament on or before 3.00 p.m. on Wednesday, 12th November, 2025.
Thereafter, the Second Reading Debate on the Appropriation Bill (2026) was adjourned at 1752 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Saturday 8th November 2025.
