Hon. Anura Sydney Jayarathne,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement & Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development and Youth Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the number of persons to whom licenses have been issued for sand mining in the District of Polonnaruwa from 2010 up to date;
(ii) of the names, addresses and the telephone numbers of the aforesaid persons; and
(iii) of the steps taken by the Ministry to control the monopoly that has been created with pertinence to sand industry in the District of Polonnaruwa?
(b) If not, why?
