108/2020 Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Education,— (a) Will he admit that— (i) the Thriposha supplement given for the children in Sri Lanka is not sufficient and it is not distributed properly; (ii) owing to the aforesaid reason malnutrition among children is at a significant level; and (iii) low income families face various difficulties due to that? (b) Will he inform this House—(i) the annual Thriposha production capacity in kilograms; (ii) whether the amount of Thriposha needed for annual consumption has been calculated; and (iii) if so, what that amount is? (c) Will he also inform this House— (i) whether steps will be taken to provide Thriposha to meet the demand of the country; and (ii) if so, how?(d) If not, why?
