Hon. Sivagnanam Shritharan,— To ask the Minister of Health,—
(a) Will she inform this House—
(i) the details of the approved cadre of the Analaithivu Hospital, which is the only hospital situated on the Analaithivu Island within the Kayts Divisional Secretariat Division in Jaffna District;
(ii) the reasons for not appointing a permanent doctor to that hospital up to now;
(iii) what difficulties are faced by the people who live in the Analaithivu Island as a result of not appointing a doctor; and
(iv) the date on which the staff vacancies existing in the Analaithivu Hospital will be filled for the purpose of providing the people living on the Analaithivu Island with an optimum healthcare service?
(b) If not, why?
