Hon. Tissa Attanayake,— To ask the Foreign Minister,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) separately as per each country, of the names of the Ambassadors and the High Commissioners appointed by the present government to the foreign service and the diplomatic service;
(ii) Whether the experience and exposure in the foreign service have been considered when the above mentioned officers were appointed as ambassadors and high commissioners;
(iii) whether the above mentioned ambassadors and high commissioners have been specifically assigned with the functions to be rendered on behalf of Sri Lanka; and
(iv) whether any follow up is done to ensure that the aforesaid duties are duly fulfilled by them?
(b) If not, why?
