Hon. W. H. M. Dharmasena,— To ask the Minister of Public Security,—
(a) Is he aware—
(i) that the Okkampitiya Police Station is in a rented building owned by Buttala Multipurpose Corporative Society;
(ii) that Buttala Multipurpose Cooperative Society has taken a decision not to extend the lease agreement ended on 19.02.2021; and
(iii) that the land allocated to build the police station in Okkampitiya town has not been used to this date?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether steps will be taken to build the police station in the land allocated for that;
(ii) if not, of the alternative location where the police station is expected to operate?
(c) If not, why?
