Hon. Wasantha Yapabandara,— To ask the Minister of Health,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the category to which the Kadugannawa Government Hospital belongs as per the classification of hospitals;
(ii) whether there is a mortuary in the said hospital;
(iii) separately of the ordinary doctors and the consultant doctors serving in the said hospital;
(iv) the measures that will be taken in the future with pertinence to the development of the said hospital; and
(v) the time period during which the aforesaid development work will be commenced?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) whether it is admitted that a lot of people obtain services from the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital;
(ii) whether it is planned to convert the kadugannawa Government Hospital into a Base Hospital as a step to minimize the excessive demand on the services obtained from the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital;
(iii) if so, of the plans relevant to the above; and
(iv) the measures that will be taken to develop the rural hospitals in Kotaligoda, Ilukthenna and Dodamwala?
(c) If not, why?
