Hon. (Mrs.) Rohini Kumari Wijerathna,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the number of technical officers that has been approved for the public institutions in Matale district;
(ii) the number of technical officers serving at present; and
(iii) the number of vacancies existing in that position at present?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) whether he admits the fact that the vacancies existing in the position of technical officer adversely affect the construction activities in Matale district; and
(ii) if so, the steps that will be taken to fill the aforesaid vacancies?
(c) If not, why?
