Hon. Tissa Attanayake,— To ask the Minister of Environment,—
(a) Will he admit that—
(i) a national policy on waste management was prepared by the Ministry of Enviroment in year 2020 and even had identified the institutions of which the responsibilities will be entrusted with; and
(ii) whereas the action plan regarding the aforesaid policy was not prepared till year 2022?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether an action plan has been prepared to implement the aforementioned policy;
(ii) if so, the aforesaid action plan is;
(iii) if not, the date it will be prepared;
(iv) whether the issues that can be experienced during the practical implementation of the aforesaid policy have been identified; and
(v) if not, the mechanism prepared to address the aforesaid issues?
(c) If not, why?
