Hon. S. M. Marikkar,— To ask the Minister of Health,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) the Chief overseer currently employed at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children has been serving in the same hospital for more than 16 years; and
(ii) a large number of complaints have been received by the Ministry of Health regarding various irregularities committed by him?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the reasons for the abandonment of the investigations into the aforesaid complaints;
(ii) of the reasons for not taking any action against the above employee; and
(iii) of the steps that have been taken to avoid the misconducts and irregularities committed by him?
(c) If not, why?
