Hon. Velu Kumar,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the number of Provincial Schools in Kandy district which were converted to National Schools after the year 2020; and
(ii) the number of Sinhala and Tamil medium schools, separately?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) the extent of land, the number of students and teachers that should be there in a National School as per the National School standards;
(ii) whether the National Schools mentioned in (a)(i) above are in compliance with those standards; and
(iii) if not, the basis on which those schools were converted to National Schools?
(c) If not, why?
