Hon. Rohana Bandara, — To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House of the —
(i) purpose of establishing the Farmers’ Pension Scheme;
(ii) benefits received by farmers from the Farmers’ Pension Scheme at present; and
(iii) measures that would be adopted to further promote the Farmers’ Pension Scheme?
(b) Will he also inform this House of the—
(i) sources that fund the Agricultural and Agrarian Insurance Board; and
(ii) measures that would be taken to make the Board more efficient?
(c) If not, why?
