    1. Hon. Susantha Kumara Nawarathna,— To ask the Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development,— (1)

      (a) Will he inform this House —

      (i) of the quantity of rock phosphate exported by Lanka Phosphate Limited in each of  the years 2023 and 2024 separately;

      (ii) whether he is aware that Eppawala rock phosphate has been exported in violation of the determination issued by the Court in the Bulankulama case which ruled that the said rock phosphate should not be exported without value addition and in violation of the Cabinet decision dated 02.11.2012 regarding the same;

      (iii) whether a formal procurement procedure has been followed in selecting the buyers/companies for the export of rock phosphate;

      (iv) if not, of the reasons for that;

      (v) ​​of the names of the companies that have been selected without following a formal procurement procedure;

      (vi) whether the companies concerned have exported rock phosphate, surpassing the permitted limit of the same;

      (vii) if so, of the quantities of rock phosphate that each of the companies has exported in excess of the permitted limit, separately;

      (viii) whether he is aware that rock phosphate with a percentage of 38%, which is much higher than the stipulated 28% limit, has been exported; and

      (ix) if so, of the amount of the loss that has been caused by that?

      (b) If not, why?
