Hon. M. T. Hasen Ali,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) the granting of compensation or pension has still not taken place to home guard Mr. Abdul Ramis (9913) who was attached to the Kalmunai Police Station and was abducted and shot dead by terrorists while on duty at the Pandirippu Police Roadblock in Ampara District on or around 27/09/1996; and
(ii) no action has still been taken despite being informed about this to the Civil Security Office, Inginiyagala through the letter bearing No OW/3037/11 and dated 22.04.2011 by the Kalmunai Police and the letter bearing No SA2/HG/10/2011 and dated 20.04.2011 by the Superintendent of Police of Ampara ?
(b) Will he state whether steps will be taken for the speedy payment of the aforesaid compensation and pension to M.A. Abdul Aziz and U.L. Asiya Umma, the elderly parents of the slain Mr. Abdul Ramis who was a bachelor ?
(c) If not, why ?
