Hon. P. Harrison,— To ask the Minister of Child Development and Women’s Affairs,—
(a) Will he state—
(i) the number of children’s homes registered with the government in which protective care is provided to children;
(ii) the number of children living in them; and
(iii) the sum of money that has been allocated for the year 2013 to look after each such child?
(b) Will he inform the House —
(i) of the number of child detention homes in Sri Lanka;
(ii) of the number of children stay in them; and
(iii) of the sum of money that has been allocated for each such child; and
(iv) whether this amount is sufficient for their maintenance?
(c) If not, why?
