Hon. Nalin Bandara Jayamaha, — To ask the Minister of Power and Energy,—
(a) Will she inform this House —
(i) whether she is aware of the fact that Devon, St. Andrews, Poodalu Oya, Puna Oya and Ramboda water sources which were included in the preliminary plans of the Upper Kotmaley hydro power plant project have not been incorporated into the aforesaid project of which the work has been completed;
(ii) whether generation of power as mentioned in the preliminary plans could be expected from the aforesaid hydro power generation project under such circumstances;
(iii) whether it is expected to utilize all or some of the aforesaid water sources in future to increase the efficiency of the above mentioned hydro power plant of which the work has been completed;
(iv) if so, of the names of the water sources expected to be used thus; and
(v) whether construction work necessary for annexing the aforesaid water sources to the above mentioned hydro power plant project has been carried out?
(b) If not, why?
