      Hon.   (Dr.) Harsha De Silva,— To ask the Minister of Finance and Planning,—

      (a) Is he aware that the Department of Census and Statistics publishes the District Poverty Line every month based on the minimum expenditure per person  per month to fulfill the basic needs?

      (b) Will he inform this House of—

      (i) the latest available official Poverty Line for Colombo District;

      (ii) the ‘basic needs’ that are included in calculating the aforesaid Poverty Line?

      (c) If not, why?
