Hon. Nalin Bandara Jayamaha, — To ask the Minister of Power and Energy,—
(a) Will she state —
(i) the name of the company which presently carries out the operational activities and maintenance work of Phase I of Norochcholai Coal Power Plant, which has a capacity of 300 MW, and of which the construction work has been completed; and
(ii) the date on which that company was assigned with such responsibility?
(b) Will she inform this House —
(i) whether arrangements have been made to delegate the responsibility of carrying out operational activities and maintenance work of the aforesaid power plant to the Chinese company which constructed that power plant;
(ii) if so, of the date from which such responsibility will be delegated to that company; and
(iii) of the scheduled dates of completion of the construction work of Phase II and Phase III of that power plant?
(c) If not, why?
