Hon. Nalin Bandara Jayamaha, — To ask the Minister of Highways, Higher Education and Investment Promotion,—
(a) Will he state —
(i) the length and width of the road that is relevant to the Kuliyapitiya-Hettipola road development project of the Kurunegala District;
(ii) the period of time that will be spent for the renovation work of the aforesaid road;
(iii) whether the constructor of the aforesaid road was selected through a tender procedure;
(iv) if so, the name of the bidder/ institution that was selected;
(v) the sources from which funds will be obtained for the aforesaid project; and
(vi) the cost for constructing one kilometer of the aforesaid road?
(b) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether a traffic control plan has been identified for the duration of construction work on the aforesaid road; and
(ii) if so, the amount of money allocated for the above purpose through the entire project?
(c) Will he also state —
(i) the number of parties that will be affected through the implementation of the aforesaid project;
(ii) whether compensation has been paid to those affected parties; and
(iii) if so, the details of those who have been paid compensation?
(d) If not, why?
