Hon. T.B. Ekanayake,— To ask the Minister of Finance,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether, in pursuant to the pledge which was included under the 100-Day Programme to the effect that the sum of money that was collected from public servants at the rate of Rs. 50,000/- from each person for the purpose of providing them with motorbikes under the Mahinda Chintana would be returned to them, and the paying back of the money so collected has been commenced; and
(ii) if so, how many people have been paid back their money by now?
(b) If not why?
