Hon. Ashoka Priyantha,—To ask the Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether your Ministry has conducted a survey to identify suitable places for fresh water aqua culture in Sri Lanka;
(ii) if so, the places that have been identified in the North Western Province as suitable for fresh water fishing;
(iii) the places where fresh water fishing has already been started out of those places; and
(iv) the steps taken by the Ministry to start fresh water fishing in other places?
(b) If not, why?
