Hon. Indika Anuruddha Herath,— To ask the Minister of Finance and Mass Media,—
(a) Will he state—
(i) separately of the contributions of the sectors of agriculture, industries and services, which are the key components of Sri Lanka’s economy, to the gross domestic production of year 2016;
(ii) of the contributions of the aforesaid sectors as percentages;
(iii) of the contribution of the services sector to the gross domestic production in year 2016 in millions; and
(iv) of the new components that have been added to the services sector?
(b) Will he inform this House —
(i) separately of the price index of the share market in each year from 2013 to 2016;
(ii) of the proposals that have been made for year 2017 to prevent the aforesaid index from dropping further;
(iii) of the value of the national consumer price index in the months of January, June and September in year 2016;
(iv) of the ratio of the labour force participation in the first half of the years 2015 and 2016;
(v) of the employment level in the agriculture sector; and
(vi) of the number of those who were employed in the state sector and in the self-employment sector in years 2015 and 2016?
(c) If not, why?
