      Hon. (Dr.) (Mrs.) Sudarshini Fernandopulle,— To ask the Minister of Petroleum Industries,—

      (a) Will he inform this House—

      (i) of the estimated cost for the expansion project of the Sapugaskanda oil refinery ;

      (ii) whether that project is carried out under credit facilities or grants; and

      (iii) the year in which the project is expected to be concluded; and

      (iv) the expected increase in the daily oil refining capacity in crude oil barrels at the conclusion of the above mentioned project?

      (b) Will he inform this House—

      (i) whether it has been proposed to commence a new oil refinery in the Hambantota district ;

      (ii) if so, the year in which the said project is expected to commence?

      (c) If not, why?
