Hon. (Mrs.) Rohini Kumari Wijerathna,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement & Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development and Youth Affairs,—
(a) Is he aware that —
(i) many houses have been damaged due to the Uma Oya development project; and
(ii) of the number of people whose houses have been damaged, 220 people have been informed to vacate their houses?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the names and the addresses of the house owners to whom the notices to vacate the houses have been issued;
(ii) the promises that were made before they vacated their houses have not been fulfilled up to now; and
(iii) the steps that will be taken by the Ministry to solve the problem of approximately 220 house owners?
(c) If not, why?
