Hon. Sisira Jayakody,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether steps have been taken to promote individuals in the Education service on the basis of having been subjected to political victimization;
(ii) of the number and the names of individuals in the education service who have been recommended to be promoted based on the above factor;
(iii) of the Members of the committee appointed to make the above recommendations on the matter of political victimization;
(iv) whether recommendations for promotions have been made for the members of the said committee too, on the basis of political victimization;
(v) if so, of the promotions which have been recommended to be provided to the members of the said committee; and
(vi) whether it is admitted that the education service will be subjected to grave disrepute as a consequence of the said promotions?
(b) If not, why?
