Hon. Sisira Jayakody,— To ask the Minister of Education,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether a policy is implemented by the Ministry of Education with effect from 2018, to transfer the principles who have served in national schools for a period of more than 8 years;
(ii) if so, of the names of the principles and the national schools proposed for the transfers;
(iii) whether an assurance will be given to the effect that the national school system will not collapse and the education level of these schools will not deteriorate owing to these transfers; and
(iv) of the measures that will be taken in appointing new principles to these schools?
(b) If not, why?
