Hon. Ishak Rahuman,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement & Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development and Youth Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he is aware of the fact that it is not possible to obtain water properly for agricultural activities as a result of not restoring the canals and dams that provide water to all the paddy fields in Mahaweli H Zone in Anuradhapura district for a long time; and
(ii) the date on which action will be taken to restore this irrigation system including the canals and dams?
(b) If not, why?
