Hon. Gamini Lokuge,— To ask the Minister of Lands and Parliamentary Reforms,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he is aware of the fact that a competitive examination was held in 2017 for the post of Survey Field Assistant of Department of Survey of Sri Lanka;
(ii) of the number enrolled for training out of those who passed the said examination;
(iii) of the fee charged for the training;
(iv) of the number recruited to Department of Survey of Sri Lanka for the post of Survey Field Assistant, out of those who received the training;
(v) of the number that has not received appointments, out of those who were trained;
(vi) whether action will be taken to grant appointments to those who have not been recruited after passing the examination and undergoing the training;
(vii) whether he is aware of the fact that action had been taken outside the recruitment procedure in recruiting for the post of Survey Field Assistant; and
(viii) of the future measures that will be taken by the Department regarding the applicants who were not selected for training after passing the competitive examination?
(b) If not, why?
