Hon. Anura Sidney Jayarathne,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement & Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development and Youth Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether applications have been called from areas like Medirigiriya of the District of Polonnaruwa, for granting lands in the Mahaweli zones;
(ii) of the number of applications that has been received regarding land grants in the Mahaweli zones; and
(iii) of the methodology that will be adopted when selecting the prospective applicants for granting lands out of that list?
(b) If not, why?
