Hon. T. Ranjith De Zoysa,— To ask the Minister of Finance,—
(a) Will he inform this House, in respect of the years 2016 to 2019—
(i) the change in the selling prices of a litre of petrol, diesel, kerosene and aviation fuel;
(ii) the types of taxes imposed on a litre of each type of the aforementioned fuels;
(iii) the expenditure incurred on each litre of the said types of fuels; and
(iv) separately, the profit/loss made from a litre compared with the prices of the world market?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) the procedure for revising the selling price of diesel and petrol every month in Sri Lanka; and
(ii) the profit made by the government and the advantages and disadvantages for consumers?
(c) If not, why?
