Hon. (Dr.) Bandula Gunawardana,— To ask the Minister of Industry & Commerce, Resettlement of Protracted Displaced Persons, Co-operative Development, Vocational Training & Skills Development,—
(a) Will he inform this House separately and in relation to each year from 2015 to 2018—
(i) the quantity of rice imported to Sri Lanka in Metric Tonnes;
(ii) the amount of foreign exchange spent to import rice;
(iii) the manner in which the Special Commodity Levy, that was charged to import rice, was amended; and
(iv) the volumes of rice imported by the public institutions and the profit made or the loss incurred by the sale of rice?
(b) If not, why?
