The Shop sells an assortment of gift items, souvenir stationery items, parliamentary publications, picture post cards, and other Parliament-themed items including confectionery items. The public could purchase these items through this page.
1.1 All users and buyers of the Online Platform of Parliamentary Souvenir Shop of Sri Lanka (the
“Buyers”) are expected to conduct themselves in a manner as set out in this Policy, in addition to the
Parliamentary Platform Terms of Use and all applicable terms and conditions of the Parliament of Sri
Lanka, all of which are incorporated by reference in this Policy. These policies, terms and conditions
apply to all purchases made on our online store. By making a purchase, you agree to these policies,
terms, and conditions. If you do not agree with any of them, you will not be able to make a purchase
on our store.
1.2 We are committed to build a trusted and reliable platform for our community and the this Policy
ensures that the Parliamentary Online Platform operates in a safe and orderly manner, with the aim
of creating a pleasant shopping experience for all users of Souvenir Items of Parliament of Sri Lanka.
1.3 We reserve the right to update, modify, or change these policies, terms, and conditions at any time
and without prior notice. It is the user’s responsibility to periodically review these terms and
conditions to be aware of any changes.
2.1 A Buyer shall comply with the rules set out in this policy.
2.2 If a Buyer fails to comply with the rules, Parliament of Sri Lanka may take any one or more of the
following actions without further notice or warning:
2.3 The rules set out in this policy are non-exhaustive, and Parliament of Sri Lanka reserves the right to take other enforcement action, including the filing of reports with the regulators or law enforcement agencies, if we find any misconduct by a Buyer.
3.1 Do not register multiple accounts for the purposes of abusing any form of incentives or gaining undue advantage in any promotion, program or activity.
3.2 Do not create accounts with fictitious, forged or compromised particulars (e.g. email address,
contact number, delivery address, etc.). Do not use particulars that are owned by or pertain to other
users or individuals.
3.3 Do not tamper any device software/ Parliamentary applications to install illicit software to clone
Parliamentary applications or mask certain security features.
4.1 All agreements made in any of the official communication channels of Parliament of Sri Lanka, or any policies posted thereon, has to be honoured.
4.2 Do not engage in any fraudulent activity. For example:

4.4 Do not provide a false or incomplete shipping address, or reject the acceptance of delivery. For example, if you see the product delivered is defective or not what you ordered you should still accept the delivery and follow the Parliamentary Return Policy.
5.1 All prices displayed on our online store are in LKR and include value-added tax (VAT).

Payment will be made at the time of purchase. Once payment has been made, a confirmation email will be sent to the user.
6.1 Products will be shipped to the address provided by the user at the time of purchase. The
shipping cost will be calculated based on the delivery address and the weight of the product.
6.2 We make every effort to deliver products within the timeframe indicated in the product
description. However, we are not responsible for delays caused by the shipping service
provider.
6.3 The user is responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address. If the
package is returned to our store due to an incorrect or incomplete address, the user will be
responsible for the reshipping costs.
6.4 If the package is lost during shipping, we will do our best to resolve the issue. If we
cannot locate the package, we will make arrangements to re-send the ordered item.
Note: It is important to indicate the order number and return tracking number on your return package to avoid any inconvenience/delay in process of your return.
8.1 Provide honest feedback about products and services.
Do not post untrue or fake reviews or any review or other content that is inappropriate, irrelevant, discriminatory, threatening or in violation of any law.
8.2 Do not initiate a payment dispute when a refund for the item has already been issued by the seller or your payment service provider.
9.1 All content on our online store, including images, texts, and designs, is the property of
Parliament of Sri Lanka and is protected by intellectual property laws.
9.2 Reproduction, distribution, display, transmission, or exploitation of any content from our online
store without our express written permission is prohibited.
10.1 We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users. For more information on how we handle your personal information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
11.1 We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages that may result from the use or inability to use our online store.
11.2 We do not guarantee that our online store is free of errors or viruses, or that access to it will be
uninterrupted.
11.3 In no event will our liability exceed the purchase price of the product in question.
12.1 These policies, terms, and conditions will be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka, without giving effect to any provisions on conflict of laws.
12.2 Any dispute arising in connection with these policies, terms, and conditions will be exclusively
resolved in the courts of Sri Lanka.
13.1 These policies, terms, and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the user and the Parliament of Sri Lanka regarding the use of our online store and supersede any prior agreements.
13.2 If any provision of these policies, terms, and conditions is deemed invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted to reflect, to the greatest extent possible, the original intent of the parties, and the other provisions will remain valid and enforceable.
13.3 The failure to exercise any right or provision of these policies, terms, and conditions will not
constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
