Hon. Bimal Rathnayake,— To ask the Minister of City Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education,—
(a) Is he aware that —
(i) the Gazette Extraordinary No. 2037/16 and dated 21.09.2017 had been issued by the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka;
(ii) a notification regarding the establishment of Faculty of Allied Health Sciences in the University of Ruhuna had also been issued through this Gazette in line with the order of Clause 27(1) of the University Act No. 16 of 1978; and
(iii) despite the statement that a building will be constructed for this purpose, no measure has been taken yet?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether money has been allocated from the Ministry to establish the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences;
(ii) if so, the amount is; and
(iii) accordingly, the date of which the construction will commence?
(c) If not, why?
