Hon. (Dr.) Bandula Gunawardana,— To ask the Minister of Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) as to how Rs 500 million allocated for the training of labourers in building and construction sectors as per budget proposal number 240 of 2016 was utilized;
(ii) whether the target of providing training to 30,000 youths with 7,500 youths trained on quarterly basis was achieved as per the above budget proposal; and
(iii) the institutions and organizations which shouldered the national programme of training such a large number like thirty thousand youths and the total amount of money paid to each institution?
(b) If not, why?
