    1. Hon Hesha Withanage, - To ask the Minister of Energy, - (a) Is he aware that – i. the oil tank farm at China Bay was acquired by the government during Mr Bandaranaike’s rule paying a sum of £ 250,000; ii. a part of the aforesaid tank farm has been leased out to India at present; and iii. a decision has been made to lease out the remaining oil tanks as well to India. (b) Will he inform this House – i. as to whether there is no effective alternative other than leasing out the remaining oil tanks to India; ii. since a public opinion has been formed in the country against leasing out of those oil tanks to India, of the steps that will be taken in that regard paying heed to public opinion; and iii. of the names of the countries that have made requests to get the oil tanks leased out to them and of the basis on which such requests have been made? (c) Will he inform this House whether he will present to this House copies of the cabinet papers and the project reports, if any, that have been presented regarding the aforesaid oil tanks on various occasions by the consecutive governments that have governed the country since independence to date including the present government? (d) If not, why?
