Hon. Chaminda Wijesiri,— To ask the Minister of Public Security,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) Separately, the amounts of narcotics that have been handed over to the Department of the Government Analyst in each year from 2015 to date;
(ii) whether he is aware that a certain portion of the aforesaid amounts of narcotics have been received by drug traffickers;
(iii) if so, if any person has been arrested in connection with such incidents and the names and designations of such persons; and
(iv) the steps that will be taken by the Ministry to prevent the occurrence of incidents of this nature in future?
(b) If not, why?
