Hon. S. M. Marikkar,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious & Cultural Affairs and Minister of Urban Development & Housing,—
(a) Is he aware that the construction of five pumping stations was initiated some time ago, in order to minimize the flood threat that poses on Kolonnawa Divisional Secretariat area?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the amount of money allocated for construction of aforesaid five pumping stations;
(ii) separately, of the extent of the construction work completed in relation to each pumping station with the money so allocated;
(iii) of the number of pumping stations that have been fully completed out of the proposed five pumping stations of this project; and
(iv) separately, of the due dates of completion with regard to each pumping station that has not been completed?
(c) If not, why?
