Hon. Vadivel Suresh,— To ask the Minister of Health,—
(a) Will she inform this House—
(i) the number of estate hospitals situated in the Badulla District;
(ii) out of those hospitals, the number of hospitals that have been taken over and developed by the government;
(iii) the number of estate hospitals that are operational at present; and
(iv) the number of estate hospitals that are not operational at present?
(b) Will she also inform this House—
(i) whether facilities including doctors, other staff and medical equipment have been provided to the estate hospitals that have already been taken over by the government; and
(ii) whether action will be taken to provide ambulances to these estate hospitals?
(c) Will she further inform this House—
(i) the measures that will be taken regarding the estate hospitals that are operational and that are not operational at present; and
(ii) the measures that will be taken to develop all estate hospitals?
(d) If not, why?
