Hon. Gamini Jayawickrama Perera,— To ask the Minister of Ports and Highways,—
(a) Will he state—
(i) the amount of money allocated with the approval of His Excellency the President for the reconstruction of the road from Sungawila to Somawathie Raja Maha Vihara ; and
(ii) the estimated amount of money approved for the reconstruction of the aforesaid road?
(b) Will he inform this House of—
(i) the name of the authority or the Department which managed the aforesaid amount of money ;
(ii) the officers who were appointed to manage the aforesaid amount of money ;
(iii) the amount of money spent by now for the reconstruction of the above mentioned road out of the amount allocated ;
(iv) whether any irregularities have taken place in managing the aforesaid amount of money ; and
(v) whether the report of the inquiry conducted by the Ministry in relation to this matter will be submitted, if such irregularities have taken place?
(c) If not, why ?
