      Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of National Heritage,—

      (a) Is he aware that—

      (i) the Gangathilake Purna Vihara which is nearly 200 years old and located at Udapeekwella, Uggalbewula in the Matara Pradeshiya Sabha area is a place of worship which has been designated for conservation by the Department of Archeology;

      (ii) all its buildings and frescoes have been left to decay;

      (iii) the land on which the temple is located is also faced with the threat of landslides; and

      (iv) as a result, a threat has been posed to the lives of people travelling along the Matara-Wellawaya road which runs at the foot of the temple?

      (b) Will he inform this House—

      (i) whether plans have been made to conserve the frescoes and the land of the Gangathilaka Vihara, Udapeekwella, Uggalbewula;

      (ii) whether provisions have been allocated for this purpose by now;

      (iii) if so, the amount of money allocated; and

      (iv) if money has been allocated, the date on which the rehabilitation activities will be commenced?

      (c) If not, why?
