Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the taxis and taxi service related foreign companies operating in Sri Lanka;
(ii) separately, the income earned by each of such company from 01.01.2017 to 31.12.2021 on per year basis in rupees; and
(iii) separately, the amount of tax paid by each of these companies during the aforesaid period on per year basis in rupees?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) whether he admits that Sri Lankan taxi service providers operating in the business have faced with difficulties as a result of the entry by foreign taxi service companies;
(ii) whether measures have been taken to monitor and secure Sri Lankan Taxi Service; and
(iii) if so, such measures taken?
(c) If not, why?
