Hon. Shanakiyan Rajaputhiran Rasamanickam,— to ask the Minister of Health,—
(a) Will he accept that—
(i) a permanent doctor has not been appointed to the divisional hospital in Kaludavalai within the Kaluvanchikudy Divisional Secretariat Division of the Batticaloa District; and
(ii) people of the area have been suffering as a result?
(b) Will he inform the House—
(i) of the reasons for not appointing a permanent doctor to the hospital referred to above;
(ii) of the reasons for not appointing a pharmacist to the hospital; and
(iii) of the date on which the vacancies that exist at present in the hospital will be filled?
(c) Will he also inform the House—
(i) whether he admits that no renovation has been carried out in respect of the hospital from the time of its inception up to now?
(ii) if so, what the reasons for it are; and
(iii) of the steps will be taken for the renovation of this hospital?
(d) If not, why?
