Hon. Jagath Kumara Sumithraarachchi,— To ask the Minister of Public Security,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the number of police stations and offices of Superintendents of Police in Sri Lanka, separately;
(ii) of the number of Police officers serving in the Sri Lanka Police;
(iii) of the numbers serving in each post from the Inspector General of Police down to the Police Constable Driver, separately; and
(iv) of the number of women officers holding each of the posts referred to above?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) of the total number of police officers who have been deployed in VIP security service;
(ii) of the numbers, separately, deployed for the protection of Ministers, Members of Parliament and VIPs other than Members of Parliament, and
(iii) what are the categories of VIPs who are not Members of Parliament referred to in (ii) above?
(c) If not, why?
