Hon. Y.G. Padmasiri,— To ask the Minister of Child Development and Women’s Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether steps will be taken to develop two Pre-childhood Development Centres ( Pre-schools) situated close to each of the proposed primary feeder schools in line with the feeder school development project, as the government intends to develop 5000 primary feeder schools under the 1000 school programme implemented by the Ministry of Education;
(ii) whether an appropriate training will be provided for the teachers of the Pre-childhood Development Centres selected in this manner; and
(iii) whether the physical resources required for those Pre-childhood Development Centres will be made available ?
(b) If not, why?
