Hon. Sanjeeva Edirimanna,— To ask the Minister of Industries,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the quantity of gems exported from the year 2019 to date in carat;
(ii) of the number of exporters who had exported aforesaid gems;
(iii) separately, the income generated from gem exports during the aforesaid period according to each year; and
(iv) whether Sri Lanka has received the aforesaid total income?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) whether gems are being re-exported after being imported to Sri Lanka; and
(ii) if so, the aforesaid types of gems are?
(c) If not, why?
