Hon. Ajith Mannapperuma,— To ask the Transport and Highways,—
(a) Will he inform this House of—
(i) the date on which the tenders were called to construct the extent of 20 kilometers from Rambukkana to Galagedara in the Central Highway;
(ii) the number and the names of local companies that have submitted tenders for this purpose along with the rates offered by them separately;
(iii) the number and the names of foreign companies that have submitted tenders for this purpose along with the rates offered by them separately; and
(iv) the measures that will be taken in relation to the allegations levelled about the malpractices that are said to have happened when this tender procedure was adopted?
(b) If not, why?
