Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture and Plantation Industries,—(1)
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the total amount allocated by the government to purchase paddy from year 2017 to 2021;
(ii) separately, of the amount allocated for each district;
(iii) of the amount allocated for each district as a percentage of the total amount; and
(iv) quantity of paddy purchased during the aforesaid period?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) of the amount allocated by the government to purchase paddy in year 2022;
(ii) of the quantity of paddy purchased to date in year 2022; and
(iii) of the amount spent for the purpose?
(c) If not, why?
