Hon. Sajith Premadasa,— To ask the Minister of Economic Development,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether the Samurdhi allowance provided to every family that receives less than 1000 rupees as Samurdhi relief has been increased upto 1000 rupees from November 2011 as mentioned in the “Mahinda Chinthana - A vision for the Future” ; and
(ii) if so, the number of families whose Samurdhi allowance has been increased by now in the aforesaid manner?
(b) If not, why ?
