Hon. Chaminda Wijesiri,—To ask the Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House of the—
(i) number of applications received by the Department of Immigration and Emigration for obtaining passports under the normal service from 01.01.2024 up to now on monthly basis, separately;
(ii) fee charged for issuing a passport under the normal service; and
(iii) actions that will be taken to issue passports expeditiously for applications submitted for obtaining passports under the normal service?
(b) If not, why?
