Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara, Attorney at Law,— To ask the Minister of Energy,—(1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the tax revenue gained from selling petroleum from 22nd October 2023 to 21st October 2024;
(ii) of the profit gained/loss incurred by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation during that period;
(iii) whether frauds have occurred in the sale of petroleum during that period;
(iv) if so, of the amount of money defrauded from one litre of each type of fuel separately;
(v) of the total amount of money that has been defrauded; and
(vi) whether the concession remaining after deducting the amount that has been defrauded from each litre of fuel is currently passed on to the people?
(b) If not, why?
